2017 Festival - The DIAMOND

In 2017, the RVA Street Art Festival partnered with the Richmond Fly Squirrels baseball team in order to transform their home, The Diamond, into a massive work of art. The stadium, built in ___ was given a new lease on life when over thirty artists from across the country (and Brazil) added bright swathes of color and imagery to various surfaces throughout the structure. A highlight of the festival was the collaborative mural painted by Andre Shank and Zeh Palito that encircles the entire top edge of the stadium, nearly 100’ above the ground. This festival brought together diverse, and often times unexpected cross sections of the region.
